If you push the limits in surfing (Prone, SUP, Wing or Wake), this will blow your mind. Want to push harder, ride tighter turns and have an even more intense surfing experience? Then our new Black ADVANCE hull configuration is for you. In this design, the mast position has been moved 40mm closer to the front foil, opening up a whole new range of surfing performance possibilities. Our current Black hull range is perfect for most riders in all disciplines, while the new Black ADVANCE hulls are not designed to replace them, but to provide options for more power and a better feel when pushing the limits. If you're an advanced or experienced surf/wave rider, this could be a great upgrade for you.
One consideration when moving the mast forward is that the effective length of the rear hull to the rear stabilisation profile increases by the distance the mast is forward. For this reason we are introducing a new hull size, the 'Sillyshort'. When choosing your Advance Black Fuselage you should take this into account and perhaps opt for a shorter length than you are used to. If you currently use an Ultrashort, you might consider the Crazyshort instead. Available in Ultrashort, Crazyshort and the all new Sillyshort (only 560 mm). Compatible with ART and HPS wings, but also suitable for the smaller sizes of our PNG and BSC wings. Compared to our current Black fuselage range, these 3 new small siblings offer a looser, faster transition from side to side. The feeling our testers experienced is similar to the feeling you get when pushing the fins forward on a surfboard, and initiating turns becomes easier, which is great in the surf. However, there is a small trade-off: this ease of turning comes at the expense of tracking and speed stability. (So expect to have a small impact on upwind ability when winging, and to have to adjust pumping technique slightly. If you're after ultra-fast big-wave riding, consider the regular black hulls instead).
If the mast is 40mm further forward on the hull, the base plate will need to be positioned 40mm further forward in the boxes to position the wings in the same position as the regular Black Fuselage (40mm, 1.57").
In an effort to reduce cardboard consumption, the new black ADVANCE fuselages are supplied with our new custom-made fuselage protectors and without paper/cardboard.
