This is precisely why the completely redesigned F_PACE range consists of two differently designed models, which clearly describe their areas of use up to size 5.8 as F_PACE STYLE and in 6.4 and 7.4 as F_PACE RIDE. But both designs have one thing in common: they are peppered with countless, foil-specific construction features that have a decisive influence on performance and make them extraordinarily powerful in the respective spectrum. Only 4 (STYLE) or 5 (RIDE) battens, the super short boom and a reduced luff curve combine to produce a favourably soft and very light foil sail. The stretched outline with reduced top surface corresponds perfectly with the low water resistance of the hydrofoil and the almost non-existent lateral forces. There is less movement in the top, the rig is stable over the board, can be optimally controlled and adjusted. The lower leech seals very well with the deck and, especially on the F_PACE RIDE with extended foot batten, enables extreme angles against the wind - without any negative impact on handling thanks to the extremely concave shape! The new, externally sewn SLEEVE INDUCER combines the best of both worlds: lightning-fast rigging and the rotation of a Nocam sail combined with the optimised aerodynamics of a Cam sail. Together with the stiff leech, they allow the F_PACE to plane even in minimal wind forces. If it does need to be pumped, the low sail pretension immediately generates propulsion and effective acceleration. The extremely short boom, 4 super-light rotating battens and low weight give the F_PACE STYLE in particular the playful handling that difficult manoeuvres and moves need: lots of propulsion, low rotational forces and - if necessary - spontaneous pressure release. This makes it ideal for days when there is a lot of wind.
IDEAL FOR FOIL RIDING/STYLING
Straight luff curve, short boom length and 4 or 5 batten layout result in a soft and super light sail, ideal for foil riding/styling
REDUCED TOP SURFACE
The reduced top surface increases stability and control by reducing movement in the upper sail area, adapted to the lower water resistance of the foil
REDUCED LOOSE LEECH
Reduced loose leech adapted to the reduced water resistance of the foil
OPTIMUM AERODYNAMICS
The super short boom significantly improves handling, while the extended foot batten prevents the sail from becoming unstable when foiling
EXPONENTIAL FOOT CONCAVE
The extended foot batten prevents the sail from becoming unstable when flying, while the EXPONENTIAL FOOT CONCAVE avoids a negative influence on handling.
XPLY CORNERS
Foiling crashes can be very hard - that's why we use XPly for all exposed parts of the sail (foot, clew, top)
SWITCH SOFT CAM
The best of both worlds: Lightning-fast rigging and the rotation of a NO.CAM sail combined with the optimised aerodynamics of a camber.
