For 2020 we have added a new size 142 to improve the "flying performance" in light winds or for heavier riders.
- Shape: The revolutionary brand new "HydroPlane" bottom shape concept, where the nose starts without a V to keep the board flat in the water, maximising the glide area at low speeds and quickly changing to a significant V-plan shape A very deep double concave under the mast track. This helps to hydrodynamically direct the water towards the tail of the board before planing and aerodynamically direct the air of the board after planing. Towards the stern, the strong V quickly turns into an inverted V-shape between the feet. This keeps the outside rail line in the water power zone straighter than a normal V-board, dramatically increasing control and lateral movement stability at speed.
- Rail Design: Sharp vertical rails from nose to tail are seen from the waterline to halfway down the rails to aid planing and 'cut' the water when touching down, especially at an angle. Then there is a sharp but aerodynamically friendly transition in the rail shape with a very smooth curve designed to be as drag-free and efficient as possible.
- Foil Footstrap inserts: Foiling requires the front foot to be further back than on a slalom board. This means that the foot position is very tight so that the board always stays in order and the rider is always above the foil. This increases control. In addition, we have well-placed footstraps for windy crosswind and headwind sections.
